Hi there,
I have made a button that when you rollover it has a
different colour slide out from under it (makes it look slightly
3D). However, when the pointer moves off the button the other bit
that slid out just goes. I want to make it slide back and go, can I
do this? I’ve been trying and have made the opposite tween etc but
don’t know where I am going wrong.

Use a movieclip instead of a button:

I used actionscript to make the movieclip act like a button.

hi there, sounds good….but I can’t open the file you linked
to. I saved it but it wouldnt open “disk read error”.
I have flash CS3 and 8, dunno why it wouldnt work. Can you
possibly try it again?|||
The original was saved as flash 8 – I did it as CS3 this
time. Try again. Same spot, same file name.|||

here’s what I have ended up with…gona have to tinker a bit
to get some of the edges nicer but the concept is there and done!
