I have a Flex App deployed, I’d like to track IP addresses
which download the .SWF file, or even just put in a simple hit
counter. Can someone reccomend a technote or web example I could
look at?|||
If you just want a count of the numbre of times the SWF was
downloaded (and the IPs), then add that code to your wrapper or
just look at the hit logs. Google Analytics is also an easy way to
see what kind of traffic you’re getting.

By wrapper you mean the HTML file? Because they are currently
just going directly to the SWF|||
Is there any way to do this within Flex? I can’t use google
analytics because this is a secure site.|||
Yes.

In your swf, when it is first loaded, you can send a server
request to a script (say PHP) that opens a ‘hitCounter’ file and
increments it, ++count.

Thanks much appreciated.
