Insert a snippet into a table row in RH7. It appears
in the Preview and WebHelp, but not in the .CHM. This RH7 upgrade
is proving highly unreliable when it comes to the production of
.CHMs.

I think I would find the cause first and then blame RH if
found to be the cause.

I just tested this and the snippet appears in the CHM.

Create a new project and test it there. Let’s see what that
does and take it from there.

Yes, the snippets appear in tables that I create in new
topics (I don’t even need to create new projects). The problem is
that I am putting them into tables that were created in previous
versions of RoboHelp. And, as I haven’t got the time to go creating
my projects anew in RH7, I am going to revert to RH6 and forget
about snippets. Thanks anyway for the reply.

Do you have a backup from RH6 as the project will not now run
in RH6. The code has been changed.

It might not be necessary to recreate the tables if we can
find why they don’t work.

If you import one of the topics with a problem table into a
new project, does it still give grief. If it does, you can send me
that project and maybe we can find the cause.

When I import one of the topics with a problem table into a
new RH7 project, together with the associated snippet, and then
re-insert the snippet, it shows up fine. The problem seems to be
with the upgrade to existing (RH6) topics. Maybe, if I created new
RH7 projects and re-imported absolutely everything, then I might
have a chance. I’ll try it.

Do you have the 7.01.001 patch applied? Nothing in it that
affects this to the best of my knowledge, but just maybe. Might
also be worth upgrading the project again after applying the patch.
Some of the fixes require that.

Assume you are aware you can import all the topics in a
folder in one go.

Yes, patch applied, and I know how to import all topics at
once. The creation of the new project resolved the issue.
