I am new to director, and trying to add sounds to my project.
I have already added video clips which play properly (and have
sound that also plays properly). I have added the sound files
(which plays perfectly in itunes and quicktime) to director, and it
recognises it as an audio file, but when i preview the project i
can’t hear any sound. The file has been added as wav, mp3, aiff and
none work. The file also refuses to play when selected in the cast,
and the preview button is pressed.
Would be grateful for any help, otherwise i will just have to
create video clips with black backgrounds to play audio files.

Which platform are you running Director on and which version
are you using?

sorry, forgot to mention
i am using an apple imac (with latest version of tiger) and
director mx 2004 (version 10.1.1)
