Is there anyway to get the clarity of the text in captions to
be as crisp as it is when you are working with the text in
Captivate? The text looks good in Captivate, but it appears bold
and blurred once it is published.|||
Hi Candace

Let me guess. Is your Caption type Transparent? If so, give
this a try. Edit the caption text and place the cursor at the very
end. Ctrl+End usually does it. Now press the Enter key a few times.
On the last line, apply a bullet. Dismiss the dialog and size it so
you don’t see the bulleted line.

Cheers… Rick

Rick,

Your solution worked wonderfully. Is there something I can do
to stop my multiple-choice quiz slides from bolding and blurring
the question text, as well?|||
Hi again

Hmmm, not much you can do with that. But I do have a thought
that may work. You could screen capture the slide, then use an
image editing application to insert the text just as you wish to
see it. You could then configure the text on the slide to be
invisible and use the image as a background.

Might be worth a shot… Rick

Duplicate reply due to forum hiccup. (or is that hiccough?)

cfaulk8,

In regard to your question about the anti-aliasing of your
multiple choice quiz questions, you could try the solution I posted
here last month:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=6 7&catid=464&threadid=1210980&highlight_key=y&keyword1=alias

It worked for me, but I haven’t gotten any feedback from
anyone else one way or another. Let me know if the post is
confusing (as I know the problem certainly is).|||
Sbarr151,

I tried this and it did work for text clarity on my Quiz
slides.
However, these work arounds are a bit cumbersome
when they have to be performed on every single question and every
single answer choice for each question. Does anyone know if Adobe
plans to release and update or fix of some sort that would prevent
these extra steps? I’m actually evaluating this software and
comparing it to other e-learning authoring software. The Captivate
software was winning IMHO until I ran into this “snag”.|||
cfaulk8,

I’m glad that worked for you.

In regard to the work-arounds, I’d say “cumbersome” is really
a bit generous. I would describe it more as ridiculously
inconvenient, and clearly not by design.

I’m not sure if any Adobe insiders can comment on the
possibility of an update/resolution to this functionality being in
the works, but you can always submit feedback requesting it. I know
this has been an issue since at least Captivate 1 (possibly
before), and it’s still hanging around.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
